Stalactites Cling tight to the Ceiling of a cave. Stalagmites Grow on the Ground

Stalactites, Stalagmites

How do you remember which are stalactites and stalagmites in a cave? And how to spell them?

The key to getting the whole thing the right way round, in my mind, is to remember that you need to cling tight ("tite") to the ceiling. Once established, you have a letter C in stalactite that fits the cling and ceiling. And stalagmites, with its cheeky G, naturally then is the other one which would grow on the ground. Sorted?

How to identify a Bactrian or Dromedary Camel: The Bactrian camel (on the left) has 2 humps like the capital letter B turned on its side. The Dromedary camel has 1 hump (on the right) like the capital letter D turned on its side. If you can count the humps, you know the first letter.
Wrap up your keys for running: a set of keys on a keyring are wrapped up in a small piece of clingfilm. The when the key owner goes out running, they have a smile on their face as there's no jingling coming from their pocket.
